American superstar Justin Bieber has announced a new policy for how he deals with fans, and it's a decision that might be all too familiar for followers of local rapper AKA.

Justin took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that he will no longer be taking pictures with fans, saying that he often feels like "a zoo animal."

"If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I'm not gonna take a picture I'm done taking pictures," he wrote. "It has gotten to the point that people won't even say hi to me or recognize me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity."

The decision is similar to one taken by local rapper AKA last year, when the Levels rapper announced on social media that he would not be taking pictures with fans who cannot prove that they have bought his music.

"It's seems like there is some confusion so let me clear this up. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT MY MUSIC BY BUYING IT, WE CANNOT TAKE A PHOTO. Ever,” he tweeted in March last year.

Justin has taken AKA's stance a step further by revealing that he won't be taking pictures, even if fans have bought his music.

"I realize people will be disappointed but I don't owe anybody a picture. And people who say 'but I bought your album', (I) know that you got my album and you got what you paid for: AN ALBUM! It doesn't say in the fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo."
