Jub Jub has since become a trending topic on Twitter with thousands of people voicing their opinions on the matter.

While some people compared Jub Jub's sentence to Oscar's, others made it clear that Jub Jub was convicted for culpable homicide and justice has been served. Jub Jub and his friend Themba Tshabalala killed four school children in Soweto in 2010.
@Sikho_N@MsNdima@MrOnezmo its ok to feel like the system has failed us but the families of kids Jub Jub killed shdnt be forgten.Be neutral

jub jub was given 10 years for culpable homicide, a lesser offence than murder, for which oscar pistorius receives 6 years.

No, Jub Jub will not and should not be freed. Can we deal with white privilege without ordering black criminals to be freed? Thanks.

We not asking for jub jub to be freed, all we asking is for consistency in judgement. Justice is all we want for all and not some

How are you asking for Jub Jub to be free when he killed four kids and left others damaged for life. pic.twitter.com/wv2hO0Tnm3

While there has been massive debate and outrage, legal experts have warned that Jub Jub and Oscar's sentence cannot be compared due to the legalities surrounding each case.
Meanwhile numerous high-profile celebrities have also come out to slam Oscar's verdict labelling it a case of "white privilege."
Actress Boity Thulo said, "Oscar has been sentenced to white privilege years in prison. Poor guy."
