Idols SA season 17 winner Berry Trytsman is a homeowner and gives praise to God for her new purchase.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a picture of the home while posing with her estate agent.

“God is good all the time. We bought our first house! My amazing friend Mimi helped us with the process and she was an absolute gem, making sure we knew what to do every step of the way. Thank you Jesus for your blessings,” she wrote.

Her followers, from celebs to fans, congratulated her on her achievement.

“Congratulations honey, I am happy for you,” wrote Thembi Seete.

“YEA! That’s wonderful, Berry Pie. Congratulations babe. You and your family must make tonnes of incredible memories in your home,” said another.

Berry walked away with the R1m cash prize and a deal with record label Kalawa Jazmee when she won season 17 of Idols last year.

In a separate Instagram post, she marked her one-year Idols win anniversary and thanked her fans for their continued support. She also announced a new music release since her exit from the show.

“1 year ago, on this day, you changed my life forever. Thank you team Berries! I'm nothing without you or God by my side. Please continue to show your love by streaming my new EP. 6 new songs for you to enjoy and they all show a different part of me.”

After winning the competition last year Berry took to her socials to say: “I think I still need time to process everything, I'm still in shock and so overwhelmed by messages of love and support. But I'm here to give team Berries the love they deserve. Thank you for sticking with me throughout this journey. We won! A special mention to the amazing @ram_joyce and @noonoosnook for all the campaigning and hard work you put in. I love you.”
