A few Mzansi celebs decided to put their money, effort and time into embodying what it means when one chases their dreams and aims to be better versions of themselves.

Oskido, Twasa, Siphesihle Ndaba, Bridget Masinga and Thabiso Molokomme decided to lead by example and inspire their followers to follow their academic dreams — some even proving that it's never too late.

The actors and radio personalities walked the stage at their respective institutions of higher learning and shared their moments on Instagram for all to see. 

Oskido 

Oscar Mdlongwa, popularly known as Oskido, celebrated his academic achievement with friends and family. This after the veteran DJ decided to return to school this year.

The Kalawa Jazzmee record label owner and DJ completed his five-month project management studies after enrolling at the University of Pretoria in February.  DJ Zinhle threw him a graduation ceremony to celebrate his achievement.

Twasa

Veteran TV and radio personality Seipati Seoke, better known as Twasa of Jam Alley fame,  shared her hope that her academic achievement would inspire people to go back to school or at least rewrite their destiny.

The media personality graduated with her postgraduate diploma in business administration. She shared the official photographs from the graduation ceremony with a motivational message.

“There is something powerful about making a decision, being willing to sacrifice and walk by faith. New dimensions of life open up, the never-seen-before kind. I'm still not where I set out to go, but I'm no longer where I used to be. Dropout to graduate, I simply had to change the narrative.”

Bridget Masinga 

The media personality obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in government administration and development.

She excitedly took to her Instagram sharing the news with her fans in a lengthy post.

“It took what seemed forever, at times life got in the way; ngowo, heartbreak, work, health and every hurdle that could test my resolution to completion came my way,” she wrote.

Siphesihle Ndaba

The actress bagged an honours degree in dramatic arts from Rhodes University.

Siphesihle who stars as Mazet in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora, took to her Instagram timeline to share that she's just climbed the education ladder. 

“I’m two degrees hotter. How’s the temperature that side?” 

Thabiso Molokomme 

The Skeem Saam actor graduated in 2022 with 20 distinctions in operations management from the University of Johannesburg .

The actor took to his timeline recently to share his achievements and spoke to TshisaLIVE about the sacrifices he made. 

“I worked long mornings, days and nights to achieve it and I'm so extremely proud of myself. This shows that having big goals, praying and working hard can get you anywhere. I do plan on studying further, but I won't be enrolled for traditional modes of education.”
