It's not every day that actors share their work in a reel, but as part of appreciating the strides she has made, actress Nambitha Ben-Mazwi has reflected on her career choices.

After seven years in the corporate world, she closed that chapter to follow her dream.

She has starred in international productions such as Black Mirror, Madiba and Beyoncé's Black Is King.

Even here at home Netflix has become like her second home starring in Savage Beauty, Happiness Ever After and so on.

“This month, seven years ago, I made the bold leap of faith to relentlessly pursue my calling of being a storyteller full time. I left all I knew behind, including the Business Science corporate world I had worked so hard to be entrenched in. I knew God had a different purpose in me, the purpose of showcasing truth in ourselves. I’ve never done career anniversaries, but after my meeting last night with my US/UK management, I am reminded to take stock of my journey and growth as I continue to step into a new phase in my career.”

Nambitha bagged a VN Global Award for Actress of The Year.

“Guuuuys, we did it, we won another award! We can now add 'Actress of the Year' to the titles I’ve been blessed with this past month. And that is all thanks to you and my clan that is my family. Thank you for all your support, votes and my agency MLA for honing my career. You can swipe for my full acceptable speech, but what I do want to mention, is the reason I am supporting the VN Global Awards on its second annual phase, is because a woman is pioneering this enterprise, and you know I will push for anything a woman builds! To God be the glory for all that He has done and is about to still do,” she wrote.

She has also been honoured with the International Panache Women of Wonder award.

Honoured is an understatement. Being recognised globally as a woman of excellence and for my work in women empowerment is truly the confirmation I needed in my calling and purpose in leaving a legacy,” Nambitha wrote.
