Congratulations are in order for Vuyo Ngcukana, who is thrilled after reaching a new milestone in his career.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Vuyo revealed he had ventured into directing, sharing the film flapper of 1 Magic's 1802: Love Defies Time with his name on it.

“It’s really real. The training wheels came off. When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen — Isaiah 60:22. Thank you Lungelwa Hela and Wandile Magadla for giving me wings to take off into a whole new world, ndiyabulela,” he captioned the post.

In his Instagram stories, Vuyo also thanked the producer and director who guided him into the transition of his career.

“I'm beyond words, my gratitude to you can't be measured. You've opened the door to a dream, thank you.”

Vuyo, who was popularly known for his role as Schumacher on The Queen, had fans itching to see him on the small screen again after series 7 ended on January 13.

“That's what people know. They've never met Vuyo. For seven years, the only person they know me to be is Schumacher, so that's what they relate to. The reason Schumacher became so popular is because he was so relatable to many people. Shu taught me that human beings are complex. I loved his tenacity, he never gave up,” he said in an interview with Metro FM

Taking to his timeline on Tuesday, Vuyo revealed he's bagged a role on a new show called 1802: Love Defies Time.

“You guys have been asking 'what’s next' and now I can finally give you an answer,” he wrote.

In his Instagram stories, Vuyo said he was coming from a place of healing.

“The scars are healing. I'm doing interviews again and I'm really comfortable.”
