Bontle Modiselle said watching her hubby Priddy Ugly box with Cassper Nyovest sucked.

The actress and choreographer shared Priddy's training regimen with Zingah on Choppin It With Buddha T'podcast.

"It wasn't just a moment people had to tune in to and witness there in real time. For me it was all the hours, all the days, all the five weeks he had to prepare for it. There was a lot that was happening in preparation to that moment," she said.

"The preparation was insane, like him needing to train for it in such a short space of time. I have to say this because I don't think people understand what it means to be put on the spot like that in such a short space of time and wanting to take on a challenge that people very quickly when hearing it wouldn't take on when presented with an opportunity like that."

She said Priddy Ugly honoured the fight in many ways.

"He spent very little time at home. He was training, he was at the gym. He was sparring so often, and he would come back home and I would be concerned and I don't want him to take this on also because I knew he was having trouble with headaches. In his training at some point we had to go to the hospital. He wasn't OK," she said.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE after the boxing match Priddy said he trained for six hours weekly for the past three months and was disappointed to lose the fight so quickly.

“When someone much heavier than you hits you in the head, it doesn't matter how prepared you are, you'll go dizzy. When he landed blows on me it did affect me.

“The great thing I'm blessed about is that I'm not hurt. He knocked me down and I'm still here with no bruises.”
