Oratile "Coachella Randy" Masedi got candid about his journey with depression.

The social media sensation and actor took to his Instagram stories on Tuesday reflecting on how people had questioned his hiatus from social media and compared him with his friends.

In a series of posts, the son of veteran television host and actress Vinolia “V Mash” Mashego, explained he was battling depression.

"I am fighting to be genuinely okay, from my hair follicles to the lines under my feet. I was so scared for my life and thought I was crossing over, I knew I had to fight for my life, but I didn't even know where I was in this world, this is the scariest thing any person can go through, but I am grateful it happened to me, my life is changing for the best at the moment and I can feel the growth seeping into me every day, it's magical. I live on meds now until I feel better.

He thanked everyone who was there when he was at his "weakest" and said he hoped this healing becomes glorious.

"I'm posting about this not for pity or sympathy but to raise awareness of how important it is to take care of your mental health, reality is that we only become mindful and conscious of things when we only experience them, but if I can be an example [of] them to you, then take it with you and protect yourself, it's a serious thing please."
