A man was tasered and arrested by police after stripping naked and attacking passengers aboard a train in Washington DC.

Fox 5 reports that Deon Toye, 24, took his clothes off and started assaulting passengers last Thursday. One of the victims, Daniel Clark, was left with a gash under his eye, a black eye and cuts on his hands.

Clark said when he went to the station's manager for help after the attack, the manager "looked at me like I was crazy until he saw the naked guy come up the escalator".

As an officer tried to apprehend Toye at the train station, he used a trash can as a shield and attempted to run away, said officials at the scene. The officer resorted to tasering Toye so he could be arrested.

According to WUSA-TV, police believe Toye could have been under the influence of drugs.  He has been charged with robbery and making threats.
