Trevor Noah's Jozi gig rips with Trump quips

Where does Miss South Africa stash her sash? What's Redi Tlhabi up to now that she's hung up her radio mic? Add a rare sighting of column regular Bassie's other half, plus barrels of laughs - yes, my night out last Saturday with our Trumpville man, Mr Trevor Noah, brimmed with mirth and titbits.
Trevor was in town performing his new stand-up show. This was an exclusive event, organised by subscription channel M-Net at the Johannesburg Theatre in Braamfontein.
In the foyer I say hello to songstress Lira, just back after recording an album in Los Angeles.
Upstairs I meet Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters not only sans surgical gloves, but her Miss SA sash. To confirm she's the reigning queen, she taps her metallic handbag: "It's inside my bag; I only take it out if I need it."
Then it's that sighting of column-regular Basetsana Kumalo's other half, radio-guy-turned-businessman Romeo Kumalo, who reminds me we've known each other since the days he had hair.
Near the buffet, I find another ex-broadcaster: Redi. She tells me that before taking up a US fellowship next year she will stay busy with her work campaigning against sexual violence. Next month the Alan Paton winner takes on a heavy subject with the launch of her new book on Fezekile Ntsukela Kuzwayo - who we know as Khwezi, the woman who accused President Jacob Zuma of rape.
Bongani Bingwa, Redi's 702 replacement, has this to say about the self-proclaimed ANC MP who called into his show claiming to have voted against the no-confidence motion because it was not true that Zuma had no confidence...
