Tayne Paton
Owner of Republik, Durban North KZN
Coffee craving: Oh, I have three. Counter Culture in Ballito because Nicky pours the best v60 pour-overs ever! Moto cafe in Umhlanga for a cortardo and then, of course, Nobel Coffee because it's just frikkin' great.
Breakfast: Delish Sisters in Salt Rock because their corn bread is worth the 45-minute drive, which for a Durbanite may as well be Mars it's so "far"!
After-shift hangout: Honestly, my bed, but our staff like to go to Conner's Pub in Durban North, especially on karaoke night.
Favourite takeout: Anything pizza related, every pizza, all the pizza, any time of day.Jenny Morris
Owner of Yumcious, De Waterkant, Cape Town
Coffee craving: It has to be Yumcious, we have fabulous coffee.
Breakfast: Juice and wrap at FRESH in the Cape Quarter Square; it's fresh and fast.
After-shift hangout: Codfather in Camps Bay for sushi. They have the best in town and the chefs know exactly what I like and how much.
Favourite takeout: Chinese from Chuck Yang in Rondebosch - General Chicken, crispy and sweet, and Fiery Kung Pow chicken full of sun-dried chillies, peanuts and onion in a delicious gingery sauce with mixed steamed Chinese vegetables...
