SACP weighs action against Martins

Deputy Public Enterprises Minister Ben Martins is in hot water with the SACP as his party considers taking action against him following allegations about his role in state capture.
Martins this week voluntarily filed a report to the secretariat of the SACP, denying claims by suspended Eskom head of legal Suzanne Daniels that he was present at a meeting with Ajay Gupta and Duduzane Zuma where a plan to delay a court case involving former CEO Brian Molefe was hatched.
Party spokesman Alex Mashilo said the SACP would not hesitate to act against Martins if "any incontrovertible evidence" emerged against him.
"He was not requested to submit the report. He knew he has a revolutionary duty to offer an explanation."..
