Mampara of the week: Mmusi Maimane

NOT EVEN A MINI-MANDELA
This Mampara has lived his whole political life trying to be someone other than himself.
When he arrived on the political scene, he impersonated former US president Barack Obama, earning himself the nickname Mini-Obama. But that was not enough. On Freedom Day, he blew his own horn, this time comparing himself to the father of the nation, Nelson Mandela. He claims he is the only one who has not abandoned the principles and values that Mandela championed.
This comes from a man who is leading a party struggling with race relations. This Mampara will be remembered for forcing out a black woman leader, Patricia de Lille, for reasons he and his henchmen have yet to explain.
You are no Nelson Mandela, you Mampara...
