Mampara of the week: Helen Zille

19 May 2019 - 00:00 By Hogarth

ABSOLUTE PRIVILEGE CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY
The GodZille of the Cape Republic was at it again on Twitter this week. The outgoing premier of the Western Cape exposed her racist behaviour once more, inventing "black privilege" in a poor defence of "white privilege".
"Well you clearly don't understand black privilege. It is being able to loot a country and steal hundreds of billions and get re-elected. If ppl want permanent poverty for the masses they are going about it the right way. #BlackPrivilege," Zille tweeted.
When she was called out by many, including former public protector Thuli Madonsela, Zille stuck to her guns and accused South Africans of liking "victimhood".
Zille has always denied being a racist and anti-black but to update an old adage, tweets speak louder than words...
