No accountability in the Ramaphosa administration

It must really be nice to be in President Cyril Ramaphosa’s administration.

Imagine we were back in the year, say, 2016 and a virus had come along and killed thousands of South Africans. Imagine the reaction if it had emerged that while 29 other countries had begun inoculating their populations, SA had not concluded any agreements for direct supply with pharmaceutical companies. Imagine hearing that although some vaccines — covering only 10% of our population — would only arrive in the second quarter of the year, the government had missed a deadline to pay for them...
