The 2021 local government elections were held under very difficult conditions because of the pandemic. The Electoral Commission of SA (IEC) had to organise and deliver a credible election under these conditions. To make matters worse for the commission, it had only 42 days to do so, a challenging and difficult task whichever way you look at it. ..
