US movie star Tom Cruise has been seen in Mzansi again after his many previous visits to South Africa to shoot his latest Mission Impossible movie.

The star was spotted at Killarney Country Club in Johannesburg and several images of staff and the actor were posted on social media.

Tom has played the lead in the Mission Impossible films since the first movie 28 years ago.

He first made headlines when he was reportedly shooting his latest film in the  series and was spotted in Oribi Gorge on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast and Hoedspruit in Limpopo.

The Weekend Argus cited sources saying the movie will be among international productions shot in Cape Town and Durban this year.

Earlier this year Cruise stole the hearts of Hoedspruit residents with his stay in the area while filming Mission Impossible 8.

The star is staying at a private lodge in the luxury Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate and takes a helicopter to the set nearby every day. Fans have started a ritual of gathering to meet him when he returns to the lodge.

He thanked fans for coming to see him and posed for pictures.

Asked if he would like to pack up and move to South Africa permanently, Tom said it would be great.

“I would love to. It would be nice to live here permanently. We have wanted to come here for a very long time,” he said.
