When actor and businessman Kope Makgae made a call on his social media to get in touch with the content creator behind the catchy phrase “Re squeezing in” it was to offer her opportunities that are not always available to everyone.

The content creator with TikTok username @dimakatsoephesia went viral on Twitter with everyone using her video for laughs on social media.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE the actor and founder of accredited film and television institution Wyza Media Academy said he wanted to do his bit by contributing towards changing the status quo.

“We found her yesterday and then my team spoke to her today. So she lives at Mokopane and she's just thinking about her options. We've got film and television which is 12 months and that's an everyday class and then we've got film and television short classes and acting classes on Saturday. From what I understand she is studying at Turf, so I think its just a matter of understanding whether she is continuing with her studies or what her situation is.”

The Generations: The Legacy actor said he can offer the content creator opportunities to get her a foot in the door.

“I think we know the status quo right? Everyone that's in the industry is trying to stay in the industry and keep everybody out so they can share the spoils. So now this is an idea that's built on what I'm currently doing.

“Instead of opening a school and studio in Joburg where I reside now and where I could've got more students and more clientele, I went back home and I built it in Seshego so the kids that side can get opportunities and stop thinking that to appear on TV or to express your talent or opportunity you need to come to Joburg.

“So its basically me extending my footprint further and saying I've got an accredited film and television academy, I've got a film and television studio and I've got opportunities.

“So come and share the spoils. Create your name, build and get your share of what you want so obviously. It's also up to the individual themselves to apply themselves. The best thing that I have is that you can learn. I'm gonna teach you film, I'm gonna teach you television, I'm gonna teach you acting.

“That's just my contribution as a person that seems to have already made it. So who am I to shut other people out of their blessing because they cant get to Jozi or they don't have that connection?”
