WATCH LIVE | Crime stats for 2018/2019 revealed

The South African Police Service is delivering the crime statistics for 2018/2019 to parliament on Thursday. 

Last year, the crime stats were worse than expected. A decline in the number of police officers serving the community was one of the main reasons for the increase in crime. 

TimesLIVE reported that more than 1,500 people are murdered every month in SA, with 57 people murdered a day.
