The beauty of Cape Town proved itself an equal match for top Russian model Irina Shayk, whose festive-season visit included diving with sharks at Cape Point.
After ringing in the New Year in the Mother City, the jade-eyed bombshell celebrated her 24th birthday with her Italian boyfriend at the Sondela Wildlife Centre — which cares for distressed wildlife — near Johannesburg on Thursday .
Shayk is the face for worldwide fashion campaigns including Guess Jeans.
For the past three years she has also raised temperatures in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue — which is famous for its scantily clad models of unparalleled beauty, who are photographed in some of the world’s most exotic locations.
The model celebrated New Year’s Eve at an exclusive party hosted by former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan’s son, Kojo, in the seaside Cape Town suburb of Camps Bay.
“During our stay we went to see Cape Point. It was fantastic. And we went shark diving ,” said the model, who is due back in South Africa at the end of the month for a photo shoot.
