“I fear for the women in my life, because I fear gender-based violence, femicide, disrespect of women. I fear what we have become as a society. In the olden days I feared being arrested, or being forced into exile. I feared being shot by the police. I feared being attacked and being assassinated. In the new democracy, I am afraid for the women of this country all the time.”..
