Gamal Amr's late goal sours night for Amakhosi

Coach Komphela still under the whip as Chiefs slip yet again

Kaizer Chiefs's climb up the Premiership table was stopped from gaining traction by Bidvest Wits marksman Gamal Amr Ahmed who unleashed an unstoppable low strike in the last minute of this league match here last night.
By the time Ahmed scored, the estimated 12,000 Amakhosi faithfuls had thought they were already home and dry against a 10-man Wits fighting to rescue itself from the worst start to a season by defending champions.
But other than Siphiwe Tshabalala scoring his second goal in two successive matches, the hosts must thank their No1 goalkeeper and captain Itumeleng Khune for a number of outstanding saves, earning a deserved man of the match. Also playing close to 50 minutes against 10 men after Wits defender Nazeer Allie was sent off, contributed greatly to coach Steve Komphela's men not losing all the points.
The outcome, however, will not stop Komphela's detractors baying for his expulsion having gained only five points from a possible 12.
Chiefs' goal came in the 53rd minute through a square pass from overlapping rightback Kgotso Moleko, who perfectly timed his run before laying a decent pass on for "Shabba" to finish with Wits defence in no man's land...
