Hackers have been insulting Mlindo The Vocalist and his family on social media.

A Facebook post showed Mlindo and his parents, captioned, “Mlindo felt ashamed because his mother was a domestic worker at the time. He even once said a sentence to his mother that broke her heart.”

The AmaBlesser hitmaker's fans questioned why he would be ashamed that his mother was a domestic worker.

Mnganami, never be ashamed of who you are,” wrote one user.

“Lies, Mlindo uyamthanda umama wakhe [loves his mother], posted another.”

TshisaLIVE approached Mlindo's manager Trevor Mofokeng, who dismissed the post, saying the singer was not responsible for the posts on his Facebook page as it was hacked. “It's disappointing what this guy [the hacker] is posting on Mlindo's page, the account was hacked three years ago.”

“The hacker has posted worse things about Mlindo's private life,” he said.

“I'd like to reassure fans not to entertain the hacker's using Mlindo's account. For years we've been trying to get the account back but it's impossible to do so, those guys [hackers] are super smart. Mlindo isn't on Facebook. The hackers haven't robbed us [of] Mlindo's booking fees. We're just disappointed with what the hackers are doing on Mlindo's social media account.”

Mofokeng said tickets for Mlindo's Live Experience  on June 15 at Carnival City, Ekurhuleni, are sold out.

“The tickets sold out quickly, so we are busy with rehearsals. We are excited about the response we got from fans, certainly they'll be entertained.”
