1. MARSAI MARTIN

Nationality: American.

Star turn: Cast in the comedy series Black-ish.

Lead up: Starred in the comedy Little. At the age of 13, she became executive producer of the film, making her the youngest person in Hollywood to produce a movie.

Recent work: Produced and starred in Amari and the Night Brothers.

Notable achievements: The youngest person to get a first-look deal at Universal, and the youngest person to get a deal at any studio.

Little-known fact: Philip Bailey from the band Earth, Wind and Fire is her uncle.

2. JAHI DI'ALLO WINSTON

Born: 30 November 2003.

Nationality: American.

Star turn: Known for his roles in zombie film The Dead Don't Die, drama-comedy
The Upside and date-gone-wrong movie Queen & Slim.

Lead up: As Luke O'Neil in the comedy series Everything Sucks!.

He also played young Simba in Broadway's version of the Disney hit The Lion King.

Recent work: Plays Mouse in Charm City Kings, about Baltimore's dirt-bike scene.

Notable achievements: Has thousands of followers across social media platforms.

Little-known fact: Di'Allo Winston names Nelson Mandela as the most inspirational figure in history.

3. MILLIE BOBBY BROWN

Born: 19 February 2004.

Nationality: English.

Star turn: As Eleven (a tween with psychokinetic and telepathic abilities) in the science-fiction horror series Stranger Things, for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Lead up: A guest role as Young Alice in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland; Madison O'Donnell in paranormal drama-thriller series Intruders; guest roles in Modern Family and Grey's Anatomy.

Recent work: Lead in The Enola Holmes Mysteries.

Notable achievements: Named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine 2018 (the youngest ever) and is the youngest person to be appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

Little-known fact: Lost out the lead role of Laura in the X-men series, which went to Dafne Keen.

Keen, who is another young actor to watch, also stars in the Philip Pullman-inspired fantasy series, His Dark Materials.

4. STORM REID

Born: 1 July 2003.

Nationality: American.

Star turn: As Meg in A Wrinkle in Time, a science fantasy adventure film for which she received Teen Choice Award.

Lead up: Small roles in 12 Years a Slave and superhero film Sleight.

Plays Gia Bennett in series Euphoria.

Recent work: The Suicide Squad, due out in 2021.

Notable achievements: She's an anti-bullying advocate and was honoured as a ground breaker on International Day of the Girl 2019.

Little-known fact: Does a mean Oprah impression.

5. LOUIS PARTRIDGE

Born: 3 June 2003.

Nationality: English.

Star turn: Viscount Tewkesbury in Enola Holmes.

Lead up: Piero de' Medici in Medici and an appearance in Paddington 2.

Recent work: The Lost Girls, a dark take on Peter Pan.

Notable achievements: Wrote his GCSE exams while auditioning for the Tewkesbury role.

Little-known fact: Wanted to be a runway model.

6. SKAI JACKSON

Born: 8 April 2002.

Nationality: American.

Star turn: First major role in 2007's Liberty Kid.

Other roles: Zuri Ross in Disney Channel series Jessie and Bunk'd.

Recent work: Set to compete in the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars.

Notable achievements: Released her debut novel, Reach for the Skai: How to Inspire, Empower, and Clapback, last year.

Little-known fact: Filed court papers for a restraining order against rapper Bhad Bhabie claiming she had harassed her.
