EFF blocks return of the defectors

While other smaller parties are struggling to attract members, the EFF is turning them away.
EFF secretary-general Godrich Gardee has told party leaders in lower structures to reject applications from former members who seek to rejoin the party.
In a letter to branches, Gardee said former members who had paid membership fees to rejoin should be reimbursed.
The action appears designed to prevent infiltration of the party from ANC ranks. It comes as the EFF prepares to convene regional and provincial assemblies where new leaders are going to be elected
"Most of them left immediately after the season assemblies in regions, provinces and the national people's assembly in 2014. Others left prior to or immediately after the 2014 and 2016 national/provincial and local government elections respectively," the letter said...
