Mampara of the week: Peter Marais
ONE SORRY MARAIS
When it comes to political prostitutes, none is more pronounced than this Mampara. Marais has been a member of the National Party, New National Party, the DA, COPE and the Independent Civic Organisation of SA.
This week he was announced as the Western Cape premier candidate of the Freedom Front Plus.
He did not waste time in reminding us of his narrow politics, his fight for "brown people". One of his first proposals is a referendum on whether the Western Cape should secede from SA.
The good news is that this Mampara will get nowhere near the premier's office as his new party has not a single seat in the Western Cape legislature. With the recruitment of Marais, the FF+ ought to change its name to the FF+ a clown...
