'Tokyo 42' has a design that could only be described as a mash up of an 80’s arcade, 'Blade Runner' and 'Monument Valley' but amping it up many kawaii gigahertz.

GAME: Tokyo 42

This little indie game that could sports gameplay that easily makes it a contender for one of the most original games of the year. Set in a possible future of Tokyo you are on the run after being framed for a very public murder.

Your friend Tycho thinks the best way for you to make money and find a way to exonerate yourself is to become an assassin (because that makes sense), so you spend your time taking contracts, conflicting with rival operations and transforming into a cat.

This is truly one of the most beautiful games we have played in a while, with a design that could only be described as a mash up of an 80’s arcade, Blade runner and Monument Valley but amping it up many kawaii gigahertz.

• Available on Xbox, Steam and PSN

PODCAST: Lore

Everyone knows Count Dracula but you may not know the intricate history of vampire lore has to do with three women from Rhode Island in 1892.

Folklorist Aaron Mahnke guides you through the history of modern day nightmares and spookier truths behind them from across the globe.

No stone is left unturned as he recounts from every shred of evidence found on twisted tales of Ancient ghostly mass murders on the edge of German forests or a girl who was haunted by a spirit that set houses on fire.

Although in later episodes his tone becomes oddly robotic if you look past that and focus on the story you will learn that the truth is most certainly stranger than fiction.

APP: McDelivery

We all have our go to food delivery app, whether it be the newly rebooted Mr D, the eager OrderIn, the fancy UberEats or the Halal friendly, Appetite but we think you should download just one more.

McDonald’s dedicated delivery app McDelivery has been around for a while now – in spite of the American branch only just having sided with Uber to bring them yanks their “Grand Macs”.

Although a bit of a pain to initially set up once you get it going it’s easy to use and has the lowest delivery fee on the block (R10). Yes, you may be making terrible health life choices, but hangovers have never been easier plus everyone deserves a cheat day.
